Online courses for beauty professionals have become a mainstay in our industry. The Profitable Stylist Academy wants to be a platform for the exchange of skills and knowledge BY seasoned professionals, for seasoned professionals.
Everyone has a special skill, something that you pass on to others, and even open an extra revenue stream for yourself as an educator. Maybe you’re amazing with foils, or have a long, layered cutting technique…no matter what it is, other stylist can learn and be inspired by you.
CONTEST OVERVIEW
Unlock your creativity and expertise in hairstyling by joining our video contest and stand a chance to win $1,000! Each participant is required to submit a comprehensive video course that showcases their skills and teaching ability.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Video Course: Submit your instructional video(s). If needed, videos can be divided into multiple chapters.
- Thumbnail: A captivating image that represents your video course.
- Biography:
- A brief professional bio to introduce yourself to the viewers.
- Headshot: A professional photograph of yourself.
- Pricing: Set a price for your class.
- Class Description: Detail what your class will cover, including techniques and outcomes.
- Title: An engaging and descriptive title for your course.
- File Size: Each file must not exceed 1GB. For longer form videos or larger file sizes, just upload it to YouTube and drop a link in your submission to the video(s).
ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES
REWARDS & EARNINGS
- Each stylist is allowed to submit up to three different classes.
- If you use a live model in your videos, a model release form must be submitted.
- Use either live models or mannequins to demonstrate your techniques.
- Grand Prize: $1,000 for the stylist whose classes generate the most revenue in July.
- Revenue Sharing: Every participating stylist will receive 70% of the revenue generated from their video courses.
